2020

This is a wine which seeks to reffect the essence of our district and all the potential that thetempranillo grape can achieve there. This is why we always make the wine in a totally natural way.

Vintages produced: 2016, 2017, 2019 y 2020.
Variety: Tempranillo from the “ La Pradilla” vineyard.
Soil: Derived from sandstone bedrock, it is a calcareous clay soil, not very fertile with random plant cover and well ventilated.
Viticulture: Vines trained in the traditional bush vine way, 18 years’ old and cultivated organically.
Harvest: 7 October in 20 kilo crates and passed over a selection table.
Vinification: It has been made in a totally natural way, with no addition of sulphur dioxideor any other additive. Spontaneous fermentation with yeasts from the vineyard itself and malolactic fermentation in casks also totally spontaneously.
Ageing: 7 months in Bordeaux-style barriques, used for their third of fourth vintage and made of fine-grained French oak with a medium toast.
Bottled: May 2021 with no prior process of fining or stabilisation.

tasting notes
A lovely black-cherry colour with an intense, complex nose with notes of dark fruit, like ripe black plums, blueberries and redcurrants, as well as balsamic notes and spicy nuances of cedar and liquorice. A syrupy smooth mouth-feel with soft, tannins enveloping the palate, balanced, complex and elegant with a long, pleasant finish. Great aromatic persistence.

2.112 bottles of 0,75 litres.
